Many owners of water features often think they look more natural over time as the color and sealant fade, however, judging by only the aesthetics is how most homeowners misevaluate the maintenance required. The most important factor in prolonging the life of a rock feature is to evaluate the fractures or cracks in the rocks. Exposing the rebar to moisture through the fractures or cracks can lead to structural problems. Once structural problems occur it becomes much more costly to repair your rock feature.
